I just finished a brand new documentary about buying baseball cards at my local card store and the sweetly tragic nature of collecting (at least I think it’s sweetly tragic):
The baseball card industry has radically changed. As one of the regulars at the store says: “The kids are out.”
Thanks very much for watching.

same thing with comics – i think the kids are gone, and all the adults are trying to make investments

Damn. This video brings me backk. I remember all my allowance used to go into arcade games and buying cards. Baseball, Basketball.. freakin Marvel Comics cards. I didn’t know two shit about sports but it was just the thing to do. I remember my older brother and his friends used to trick me into giving up some gem I might have discovered. Bastards. Damn, those were the days, when every kid had a binder.

That was awesome and nostalgic for me because I used to be into cards but it’s true kids don’t buy em anymore. They are into weirdness now. Oh well. Great video guys.

Thanks for this video. Brought me back to the days of opening packs. Listening to how each person opens their packs differently, shuffles their cards differently. Great stuff.
