Textplanation

1. A block of written text at the end of a movie that explains what transpires after the time in which the movie takes place.

“While I found Unbreakable an excellent movie, I did not appreciate the textplanation at the end of the film that told me what happened to Mr. Glass.”

At Urban Dictionary, they say a textplanation is “a lame way to get out of actually calling a person.”

But I like my use of it a lot better.

I like your word, and agree.
But the textplanations in the form of “vanity cards” at the end of Chuck Lorre sitcoms are interesting. Kind of a blog entry that no human is quick enough to read. Lorre has graciously (slight sarcasm because of necessary egotism required to write much less post them) posted them at http://www.chucklorre.com/. They are good, in a potato chip – these are really empty calories but I can’t stop eating them – way.
